Deputy Minister Parvan Rusinov Opened the SEETAC Project’s Third meeting
The Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Transport, Information
Technology and Communications Parvan Rusinov opened the third
SEETAC project meeting, which took place on 27-28th April
2010. It had been organized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport,
Information Technology and Communications, in cooperation with the
Project Lead Partner - the Central European Initiative (CEI).
In his welcoming speech, Mr. Rusinov emphasized the importance
of the project implementation in order to achieve the European
standards and requirements, related to the European transport
system integration. A substantial part in the process of goals
achievement is the strong interrelationship and collaboration
between the Ministries of transport of the countries situated along
the South-East EuropeanTransport Axis, stated the Deputy
Minister.
During the meeting, fruitful discussion among Project Partners
led to significant progress in the definition of common parameters
for the data collection, which is a significant aspect of the
SEETAC research, supporting integration and harmonisation of the
European transport system.
In view of the next ministerial conference, Mr. Arjan Budo, from
the Albanian Ministry of Public Works and Transport gave some
preliminary information regarding the structure and the venue of
the event. The conference is foreseen for mid November 2010 in
Tirana.
