First Ministerial Conference in Bucharest, Romania

The first most important meeting on the SEETAC's calendar is foreseen for the 3rd and 4th February 2010, when the first Ministerial Conference of the SEE Ministries of Transport will be held in Bucharest, Romania. The Conference is being organised by the Romanian Ministry of Transport, in collaboration with the Central European Initiative and Informest.

The general aim is to promote and increase cooperation in the SEETAC area. More specifically, the participants will be invited to discuss policy guidelines for the SEETAC project.

The discussion will start with the illustration of the current situation linked to the Pan European corridors, bottlenecks, cross-border problems, market development, traffic studies and recent investment plans. One of the main goals of the event is to identify the priorities of each ministry within the SEETAC project and to discuss a possible SEETAC strategy.

During the round table discussion  it will be possible to identify policy actions to be implemented in the rail, maritime and logistic sector.
