Albania's Minister of Public Works and Transport, Mr. Sokol Olldashi has confirmed his government's plans to introduce tolls on Albanian highways in order to pay for their maintenance. At present the only completed motorway is the 61-km A1 Rreshen to Kalimash. The Albanian government also intends to privatize other three highways currently under construction.
